Warm, Wet, & Wild: Weeje! (Remember our post on nick-names?? It’s a favorite!)
As the weather improves, we are so enjoying the time we are able to spend outside with the pups. In fact, it is one of my very favorite things to do. Did you see the photo of all of us on the facebook page? That’s my idea of a perfect Sunday!
I am also enjoying the opportunity to improve my photography skills. It means so much to me to be able to document our pups as they grow and learn and change. I only wish I had gotten started sooner!
We choose to feed our dogs in their kennels, in an effort to prevent resource-guarding issues before they start… but it seems like the girls were a bit confused this AM 😉 How do you prevent these issues, or how do you manage dogs who have already developed tendencies to guard toys or food or people?
Gotcha! Come on now, you didn’t actually believe I could do it, did ya?? For the record, the photo above was not AT ALL staged. J was truly asleep after a long day at work and late night at the gym, and of course, one of the dogs just had to take advantage of the opportunity (ahem, Geege).
We still have a lot of cold and mud and snow around here. I am MAJORLY lacking in the creativity/inspiration department. Could you help a lady out?? Come on, share some wisdom… what topics should we discuss on the blog? Anything specific you’re just dying to know about our pack? What issues are you facing with your own dogs? SPILL. (please) Good
dog reader 😉
I have to admit, this graphic perfectly sums up my life! I can’t count how many times I’ve started to clean our house, realized that resistance is futile, and resorted to cuddling/playing with the dogs instead! For us, the two biggest issues are lingering dog hair (I swear, it’s everywhere!) and muddy paws on the hard floor surfaces. The other problem is that no matter how many times I pick up the dog toys, they seem to find themselves scattered all over the house seconds later.
I try to put the dogs out from under foot when I’m cleaning, but most of the time, their faces remind me what a mean mommy I am!
Do you have issues with a messy house that you can blame on your dogs?
Have you been missing our pups’ sweet faces?! I hope so, because today I will catch up with you through a photo montage, showing some of what we’ve been up to over the past week or so. You’re welcome 🙂
And just a few days later…
Thanks for stopping by everyone! Have a great day 🙂 Tune in tomorrow for info about the giveaway, including the closing date. If you haven’t donated yet (what, are you crazy?!) head here. Remember, every $10 increment of your donation, earns you another entry for one of 11 amazing prizes! Many thanks to all who have donated thus far. Your chances are looking REALLY good, which is great for you, but not quite as great for all of the needy pit bulls LCPO wants to help out this year.
Actually, it does. I celebrated a birthday last weekend, and my amazing brother sent me this card. Not only that, but he also sent a little bit of moolah for me (because he said I do too much for the dogs, and should have something to spend on myself) and ALSO pledged a donation to our rescue, in my name. Can you say, “Awwwww“?! And yes ladies, he is single. 😉 But I must warn you that the application and interview process is stringent…
Thanks T-Bone! You are the best brother ever, and I didn’t need this card to prove it!
Why do all of our photos feature sleeping pups? Is it because they are that lazy, or just extra-adorable when
silent still snoozing? Either way, I love them all to pieces! Now, what do you think they are dreaming about?
