I think if you did a search on this blog for the number of times we used the words ‘cuddle’ or ‘snuggle’ it would be… well, it would be a lot.
While cleaning our house, I typically try to restrict the dogs to a room or two in order to have reasonable productivity. I’m sure you’ve all heard the joke that cleaning a house with dogs is like trying to brush your teeth while eating Oreos, and I tend to agree. Below is what it usually looks like…
There is a lot going on in that photo! But then, sometimes Georgia decides to get extra adorable.
Kingston isn’t afraid to let me know how he really feels about crate / clicker training 😉 Believe it or not, this is the ONLY non-dog-toy item that he has chewed (aside from our basement walls, but that’s nothin’.)
Over a year ago now, we began discussing the process of fencing in our yard. Then more recently, we unveiled the new fence! We worked really hard to accumulate enough funds to purchase and install the fence, and it has honestly changed our lives. As you can see, the girls love nothing more than spending lazy days snoozing in the sun on the patio.
Most days, I have to bribe them to come in! However, not everyone is as happy about fence-life-living…

Do you remember the sweet CharlieDog & Friends pups we gave away? Well, Little Luca was my favorite. I have always had a soft spot for white-faced pitties, and just because she’s stuffed, doesn’t mean she is any exception to that rule. So, it was really difficult for me to part with her. However, I know a special little girl who could use some extra love in her life. You can read more about her story, here. It turned out to be a match made in heaven. This little lady has never been one to hold onto toys, but Luca goes along with her on all of her adventures. Every. Where. Talk about positive pittie publicity!
Our pups saw their adoptable interwebz friend Moby doing some pond cleaning in his spare time, and they realized that perhaps they should be more environmentally conscious as well. Except where Moby was retrieving sticks, our pups felt the need to rid the waters of flowers. So, it’s either that, or they were trying to bring me a belated Mother’s Day gift… not sure.
I have always been a person who has an obsession with photos. Early in life, I fell in love with the way a snapshot could capture a moment in time, portray a person’s heart, and convey their soul. To me, it is an art form that is unparalleled. When we leave a place, lose a person, or grow another year older, there are some things that we will never be able to get back. Photos are one way to hold onto those memories and keep them alive in our hearts.
It is because of all of that, that I will be eternally grateful to my friend Jacquie at The Sweeter Side of Mommyhood. I met her as Super Mom, but soon found her to be the most talented person I’ve ever come across. She is one of those people that not only tries her hand at everything, but she also works at it until she is the best (or it just comes naturally, not sure which). She is a phenomenal artist, wife, and baker, her photos and writing can bring tears to your eyes, and she is a whiz with a sewing machine. Add in that she is an incredibly optimistic, caring, funny, vivacious person, and a good friend to boot, and you will understand why I admire her so.
I asked her to come over to our house to take some photos of us with the dogs for a new business venture I am starting. I expected them to be good, but what she captured literally took my breath away. This is the greatest gift I could have ever asked for, and I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life. Not only did she capture the heavenly lighting and gorgeous backdrops, but she truly displayed the essence of our personalities, as well as our dogs, and the love we all share. I am so touched… but without further adieu, I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking! Let me know what you think… and if you are anywhere near the Pittsburgh area, walk-don’t-run to sign yourself up for some photos with the infamous Miss Jacquie!
PS- This is so not wordless… but I’m not even a little bit sorry!
