Wordless Wednesday: Customer (Dis?)Satisfaction

Kingston isn’t afraid to let me know how he really feels about crate / clicker training πŸ˜‰ Believe it or not, this is the ONLY non-dog-toy item that he has chewed (aside from our basement walls, but that’s nothin’.)

  1. Tesla is TERRIFIED of the clicker. I tried to use it when I first got her and it made her completely shut down! So we just went with a quick “GOOD!” Now BOTH dogs expect treats when they hear “good,” so I guess it worked!

  2. Just use a “yes!” just like you would use the clicker. You can get him used to the clicker by feeding him peanut butter before and during a click. Do that 1-2 times here and there. Take that very slow.

  3. Titan hates the clicker and cowers immediately, even when I hide it in my pocket. I went to “yes” instead and that has worked very well for us. Good luck. Lucky for Kingston that he is so darn cute!

  4. Ha! It’s like the time Kaya & Norman chewed up their DNA test kits and they never chew things they’re not supposed to;)
